記得是1999年初春,甫結束瑞士伯恩大學附設醫院的兩週觀摩學習,在開往德國 Koblenz 的火車上,望著窗外野花盛開的原野,腦中,探索「退化性膝關節炎」的研究主題一一湧現!
盯著當時寫下的近二十個主題以及『內側摩擦現象』致病機轉草圖,斑剝泛黃的稿紙以及逐漸鮮活的片段記憶,激起內心無限感慨 .....
就在這春暖花開的五月天,支持我在15年前所提出、針對「退化性膝關節炎」致病機轉假說的最後一篇重要論文,終於在歷經五年的嚴格檢視、漫長等待後,為內科領域的重要雜誌 Medicine 接受刊出 (相關領域排名:15/156, IF:4.867):
緊接者,說明『內側皺襞』與股骨內髁重複摩擦所引起的『內側摩擦現象』在膝關節軟骨「退化」扮演的角色的論文也被 Medical Hypotheses 接受刊登:
沒想到,好消息接踵而至,去年受邀攥寫的『膝關節健康促進方案』相關論文也被 Healthy Ageing Research 接受,即將刊出:

終於,十五年前在巴伐利亞原野上奔馳的火車上構思的大膽假說:
『內側皺襞』與股骨內髁的重複摩擦引起的『內側摩擦現象』,是導致膝關節軟骨逐漸破壞(退化)的重要原因
在經過數年來的無數挑戰、驗證、挫折、心靈考驗後,十二篇論文,已全員到齊:

看似簡單的理論,將逐漸改變許多治療「退化性膝關節炎」的現況:
1. 「退化性膝關節炎」將成為一個含糊、不負責任的病名,誤導了大眾認為這是自然老化的現象,只能拖延,無法治癒。
2. 過去醫界無法理解「退化性膝關節炎」關節軟骨逐漸崩壞的過程,已可用『內側摩擦現象』做完整解釋。
3. 過去醫界無法解釋「退化性膝關節炎」的各種臨床症狀,也可用『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』做完整解釋。
4. 對於中老年(> 40歲)的膝痛求診病患,醫師應將最常見、可治療的『內側摩擦症候群』納入鑑別診斷,以免延誤病情。
5. 「退化性膝關節炎」不再是無法醫治的病痛,只要能早期診斷是否有『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』,就有治癒的機會。
6. 大部分因膝痛、緊繃、關節腫脹、行動困難,而被診斷為「退化性膝關節炎」的病患,其實是罹患了『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』,可經由『膝關節健康促進方案』得到確實的治療。
在這漸趨紛擾的社會,灰色地帶往往為逐利者帶來無限的想像空間,「退化性膝關節炎」的各種治療版本也因此推陳出新,引起不少混淆。花錢事小,因此延誤病情,就得不償失了!
